How to add secure certificates to Internet Explorer on your computer

Adding a secure certificate to your computer if used within the Gateshead grid will allow you to access secure sites without getting error messages.

You will only be required to do this once on any stand alone computers

note :-- these instructions maybe better to follow if printed for referance --:

Click on the download button 

Then click on the "open button"

Click on the "Install Certificates" button

Click next

Important select "place all certificates in the following store

Important select "place all certificates in the following store"

Select the browse button and select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"

Click "ok"

Click Next

Click "yes"

If all has worked you will see a message stating "The import was successful"

Click on the ok boxes.

You will now be able to access the secure sites without warning message
